Girls’ Brigade International will be raising hope for girls at the United Nations

After more than a year long application process, Girls’ Brigade International (GBI’s) has been accredited with special consultative NGO status by United Nations.

As the world’s oldest and largest faith-based mission movement for girls and young women, receiving accredited status will amplify GB International’s platform to advocate for and with girls on gender justice issues; an achievement to celebrate on its 125th birthday year.

Access to the UN will empowers Girls’ Brigade International and its members to provide analysis and raise public awareness of gender justice issues on the global stage, play a role in advancing United Nations goals and objectives on gender equality, attend UN conferences and events for free, make written and oral statements to United Nations and influence policy making.
